Annual Awards Dinner 2023

The 2023 Suffolk Horse Society Annual Awards Dinner on December 2nd was a memorable occasion. Tickets sold out quickly and Hintlesham Hall was filled to capacity. This annual event is open to all Suffolk Horse Society members, friends and supporters and was the perfect opportunity to enjoy an evening of good food, good company and the chance to meet with like-minded Suffolk horse owners and supporters, and to celebrate the achievements of 2023 at the Annual Awards ceremony.

The host, President Mrs Mary Ryder-Davies welcomed all guests and presided over the evening. Guest speaker Chris Clarke of Clarke & Simpson, Suffolk based chartered surveyors, estate agents and auctioneers, entertained his audience with stories and anecdotes from a lifetime of working within a rural farming community. His superb auctioneering skills were put into action later in the evening when he took the gavel to auction off the generous items that had been donated – the auction raised over £4000. Grateful thanks must go to all those who so generously donated items for the auction and which generated some fierce bidding. The evening was also an opportunity to celebrate with members their successes throughout the year as they stepped forward to receive the trophies that had been competed for throughout the show season.

The date for the 2024 Annual Awards Dinner has been confirmed, Saturday November 30th at Hintlesham Hall, we look forward to seeing you there.
